Welcome to Hotel Peter & Paul, where an hour is never an hour and your cup is always full...

To ensure your stay is full of lightness, we've compiled a few of our most frequently asked questions for your reference. Searching for a more specific answer? Don't hesitate to email us at and we'll be sure to answer right away.


Reception is at the School House on the corner of Burgundy and Marigny Sts. - look for our monogram on a green flag hanging above the entrance. If your room is in the Rectory or Convent, reception will greet you in the School House and guide you to your chambers.


Our check-in time is at 3:00 pm, but if you arrive earlier, we'll be happy to hold on to your luggage for you and get you situated. If your room is ready earlier than 3:00 pm, we're happy to accomodate an earlier arrival.


Check-out is at 11am, but if you need more time, feel free to let us know the day prior to your check-out and we'll see what we can do. Check-outs later than noon typically have a fee and check-outs past 3pm incur an additional night's fee, but we're always here to help and happy to see what's possible – so don't hesitate to ask.


We don't guarantee bed size in most of our room types, but will do our best to accomodate what you're looking for. Most of our room types have either a King or a Queen (with the exception of the School House Petites, which only contain Full or Queen size beds).


Looking for a soak? We have several rooms with cast-iron clawfoot bathtubs in the School House Classic and Convent Classic room categories, but a bathtub is not guaranteed in these room types. The only rooms that are guaranteed tubs are our two premium suites - the Rector's Repose and the Mother Superior. If you’re interested in a tub, reach out to us in advance of your stay and we’ll do our best to make it happen, pending availability.


We do offer guest parking here at the hotel – no reservation needed – at a cost of US$10.30 per day. Our lot is secure and gated, and we advise against street parking to save space for our neighbors.


Hotel Peter & Paul can accept, store, and deliver your packages to you on arrival but remember, our lovely building is big on history and short on space, therefore package handling does carry a fee. Feel free to email us at to discuss getting it all set up on your reservation. We're happy to get you taken care of.


We are happy to print a resumé, boarding pass, or any other reasonably sized Word or .pdf document right at the front desk. Feel free to email and we'll get it printed for you. For portfolios, things in color, and documents with pages in the double digits you may want to head over to DocuMart at 329 Baronne St, New Orleans, LA 70112. 


Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited inside guest rooms and common areas both by the hotel and state law. If you choose to smoke while in house, please expect a minimum fine of $250 (and our deepest disappointment).

Forget something?

We also have plenty of extras available for you, on-demand, to use during your visit. All you need to do is ask! Extra luggage rack? Umbrella? Feather pillows? Lighted makeup mirror? Electric kettle? Iron and ironing board? Maps & recommendations perhaps? We've more than likely got it. And if we don't, then we can probably help you get it. Frequently Asked Questions

What were these buildings before the hotel?

The School House, Rectory, Church and Convent make up the former Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic church and school campus, still alive in the hearts and minds of many former parishioners and students. In 2014, ASH NYC and Marigny resident Nathalie Jordi jointly purchased the blighted buildings and embarked on a painstaking restoration, culminating in the opening of the Hotel Peter & Paul in October 2018. Do you allow photoshoots?

We’re here first for our guests, neighbors, friends, and staff. We don’t allow any photoshoots that aren't pre-approved in our hotel, including the Church, Rectory parlors, School House 3rd Floor Stage Lounge, or The Elysian Bar bar and courtyard. If you’re as in love with our spaces as we are and would like to arrange a shoot on site, please reach out and let us know what you’re thinking - and at least a few days in advance. If we run into you shooting on site without asking first, we’ll feel a bit let down and ask you to come back another time, sans camera. There is a fee for all personal photoshoots on site that begins at $250 per hour plus location fees depending on the scope of the shoot.

What spaces and rooms have accessiblity features?

Do you allow pets?

Hotel Peter & Paul gladly welcomes your dog for $25 + tax per dog per night, and we ask that you follow a few standard policies to ensure that your stay (and your furry friend's stay) goes smoothly . Should there be any damage or excessive cleaning needed after your departure from the room, we will assess charges at this time. We kindly ask that you notify us via an email to if you plan to have your pet join us. Cats, lizards, exotic birds, etc. are unfortunately not permitted.

Do you host private events like weddings, receptions, galas, and dinners?

Yes! We are the custodians of the gorgeous former Sts. Peter & Paul church, which hosts all manner of public and private events, from meditation retreats to weddings. Click here to learn more about private events.

How do I reserve a block of rooms for a group of guests?

Yes! Pending availability, we are happy to offer group blocks of 10-20 rooms at potentially discounted rates. These rooms will be yours to book until 60 days before the arrival date, at which point unsold rooms will no longer be reserved or guaranteed.
